100+% agree with you. I'm a 121 regional guy, but did 91/135 prior to this environment. Funny how so many state the regional work is hard, but I feel the 91/135 was even harder. As GF stated and you mentioned, it is a much harder world in the 91/135 environment doing everything: cleaning plane, picking up specific catering from grocery store, fixing the coffee, fixing all the array of drinks, loading pax bags, fueling airplane, flight planning, etc. You are the dispatcher, ramp guy, cleaner, FA, pilot, etc. so when it comes to customer service you do it all and deal with some very high clientele face to face each day. On top of that on call 24/7 and gone way more than 121 lifestyle would keep you gone.
It amazes me in a lot of ways you guys aren't the top pick of guys to get on, but like GF said the hiring boards don't see and know all you do. There is no doubt that 121 flying is very different than your current world, but what you would find is in most circumstances it is much easier than what you are doing and you would be super easy to train to do it.
Best wishes for you. Hopefully we will all get a shot soon.
