IMO, for some reason, 121 major dept.'s want 121 or military experience. Many here have your background. Very few however came straight from GA. Usually some 121 after GA. Best of luck to you!
You're saying that you value highly the experience of a corporate pilot and wish that their experience was given greater weight in the selection process (a perfectly valid opinion, don't get me wrong) and in the same breath wondering why military pilots are given so much preference? I had probably the easiest flying job in mil aviation and it was a great degree more challenging than the corporate flying I did.
