I'm betting the majority of those civilians came from that so even if it's only half that means only 200 civilians have been hired off the street. Talk about some stiff competition!!
True, although the flows will be over soon and retirements will increase significantly. The supply of military pilots will likely only decrease as well. While I understand the angst of being on the outside wanting in, not everyone can get hired in year one of a hiring wave. The wave is massive and looks like it is here to stay though. Hang in there.
