It is a pilots market right now. Perspective employers should be paying money for pilots to attend. The women in aviation group can sponsor whatever they want to sponsor I guess. Seems like a money grab to me. If the money went to a children's cancer research center or some other really worthwhile charity I might think otherwise. 250 to 400 a pop, times how many people?? That's allot of dough.
If your military it seems that you don't need to do this, If your 121 regional maybe if you think you are a little low on time, guys like me who fly 91/135 this is a must as it appears our flying experience equates to useless experience, and we have to do everything we can to show why we would be a great addition. If I was in charge I would hire 1/3 military, 1/3 121 regional/low cost, 1/3 corporate, this way you have a healthy mix..... I am frustrated but it is what it is.

One the other hand when corporate hiring is the only gig in town it is very hard for military or airline guys to get hired. In my opinion that will change soon as the majors collect all the top talent in the military, regional, and the corporate pool of pilots.
