Thumbs up

I hate to say it but be patient... but the next year is going to be very telling. Although, it's still a tough market all three Legacies are hiring at a pretty good tick, FDX and UPS are hiring a few also. The recession left the bucket full of overqualified pilots, fortunately at the rate we're going the bottom of the bucket is in sight.

I recently talked to a CA here with PIC time on both the AB and the MD, he's trying to get out and I think his odds are good, esp with PIC time on those aircraft. Most CA's I've met however are lifers here, because of the pay and they live in base. Plus, after we get a contract this place may actually be a decent place to hang your hat and many are banking on that.

All that said, if you want out you still have to work for it... but sucking it up and giving up your free time going to a job fair and prepping for a Delta or American interview is worth the short term pain. I never met a Legacy pilot that said doing the networking and interview prep wasn't worth the victory of getting the job!

Good Luck to those trying to get out.
