I guess it really is about perspective and personal experiences. I'm about to join the JetBlue team and I'm thrilled. This new facility looks absolutely amazing. Compared to the tent I stayed in during my last 6 month deployment overseas, I honestly can't think of one negative thing to say. As far as companionship, again perspective as all who deploy know well. It's not near anything? Again, perspective. I just used google maps.....I don't see the problem. Super impressed JetBlue! Oh, and we are only talking about 6 weeks right?
Exactly like aewanabe said. Those extended stay hotels were ideal for Long periods of time. Having a kitchen and transportation to buy groceries, managers specials to socialize with your peers and having your spouse down, were all things that made training enjoyable. I'm guessing they won't be doing the new hire bbq anymore since sonny's is off the reservation. I heard there is no shuttle provided to anywhere. Google maps may tells you things are near by, but not walking.
While it may be better deployment this seems like a big concession to our training model.
