I don't know what our MEC's role may or may not be in all of this. I'd be interested to know more though.
If open time outside of two days is being hidden then we have a major issue and I'd love to know if it's really happening.
The trips inside of two days are now falling in line with how the contract was written. Unfortunately or fortunately it took them five years to follow it. It does increase reserve flying and decrease over time flying for line holders. I mentioned this would happen when the Skywest guy took over the OCC this past summer. It was his only airline and he was there for 20 years I think. The Skywest way is to have every pilot including reserves flying right at guarantee.
This is all the more reason why our rates need to come WAY up and we to stop relying on these rediculous credits to make money.
You hear that NC? I'm $53 an hour underpaid for the same aircraft in my seat! NOT including SCOPE, retirement, and LTD.
