I was under the aeronautics degree program which allowed students to complete some flight training at various part 61 flight schools. I did this for my instrument and commercial ratings because it saved a huge amount of money. Does anyone with insight into the hiring process know how this compares with someone who completed all of their flight training at a top rated university? I'm also not sure if I should put the part 61 schools in the education section.
You should be as forthcoming as possible. Much better to put it all out there than possibly mis-represent (in their eyes) anything on your app.
I'm not in the know, but I don't think anyone will care if you got your instrument at Riddle or Bobs Flying School. What have you done since? Focus on your positive qualities, especially those that demonstrate leadership, volunteerism, community service, etc.
I've reviewed apps for several friends and was surprised to see that most of them left out their non-flying achievements/experiences. That is the stuff that will set you apart.
Good luck
