PREMIUM PAY & HOTELS IN DOMICILE*





THIS LETTER OF AGREEMENT is made and entered into in accordance with the provisions of the Railway Labor Act, as amended, by and between ENVOY AIR INC., (“the Company”) and the Air Line Pilots in the service of ENVOY AIR INC., as represented by the AIR LINE PILOTS ASSOCIATION, INTERNATIONAL (“the Association”), with both the Company and Association referred to as “the parties.”



WHEREAS, the parties acknowledge a need to staff the operation when open time coverage is inadequate, and



WHEREAS, Section 3 covers Critical Coverage Pay, and



WHEREAS, Section 11 provides in-domicile crew hotels only in limited circumstances,



NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree to replace specific paragraphs of Section 3 of the



Basic Agreement as set forth below:



3.I PAY FOR OPEN TIME (OT)

A pilot who bids for and is awarded open time will receive pay above guarantee for such flying at a rate of 150% (200% for Critical Coverage day(s)) of his flight hourly rate unless the open time was bid by the pilot during transition to restore him to his original bid line value.

3.I.3 Critical Coverage Premium A pilot who is awarded open time on a Critical Coverage day(s) will receive pay above guarantee for such flying at a rate of 200% of his flight hourly rate. Critical Coverage days for all domiciles and equipment will include New Year’s Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The Company may designate additional Critical Coverage days for specific domicile(s), equipment and seat.



a. A pilot who is awarded an OT trip on a Critical Coverage day shall be

provided (upon request) a Company provided hotel room in domicile. The

hotel request may be for the night prior to the trip sequence or at the

conclusion of the trip sequence or for both nights.



b. A First Officer who is awarded OT flying on a Critical Coverage Day will

receive pay above guarantee for the greater of two hundred percent

(200%) of his flight hourly rate for all such hours flown or four (4) hours at

his flight hourly rate.



3.I.4

A pilot electing to fly during his scheduled vacation pursuant to Section 11.H.8 will be credited the value of his vacation plus the greater of the scheduled or actual value of all flights flown, and the applicable open time premium will apply. If a pilot flying during his vacation is extended or junior manned, such flying will be subject to the applicable extension or junior manning pay premiums. In addition, a pilot who is awarded open time on a Critical Coverage day(s) during his vacation will receive pay above guarantee for such flying at a rate of 200% of his flight hourly rate.



3.J. JUNIOR MANNING PAY

1. Regular, relief or composite line holder.

A lineholder who is junior manned for a flight leg(s) not on his final bid

award will receive pay above guarantee for such flying at a rate of two

hundred percent (200%) of his flight hourly rate.



3. Minimum Pay on a Day Off

A pilot who is junior manned on a day off will receive pay above guarantee

for the greater of two hundred percent (200%) of his flight hourly rate for

all such hours flown or four (4) hours at his flight hourly rate.

In addition, Section 11.P.6 will be modified as follows:



6. When a pilot trip trades flying that was originally awarded to him as open time, he will be paid the applicable open time premium for the flying he picks up in the trade. Example #1: A pilot who trades away an OT trip

(150% premium) for a different OT trip will receive the OT premium (150%

premium) for the flying into which he traded. Example #2: A pilot who

trades away an OT trip (150% premium) for a trip on a Critical Coverage

day (200% premium) will receive the Critical Coverage premium for that

flying. In addition, Section 11.E.1.d will be replaced with the following language:

d. A pilot whose assignment normally provides for a hotel room will receive a hotel room in domicile (upon request) if any scheduling or operational

irregularity causes the pilot to overnight in domicile.



THIS LETTER OF AGREEMENT will become effective on the date of execution and will remain in full force and effect concurrent with the duration of the Basic Agreement.
Just my .02 cents: I see two options here, since you're already hired there:

1. Take the money, keep building your time, and get out asap.

2. Take the money, keep building your time, stop whining and wait to flow.

Envoy is clearly not a good place to be, so if they are making your life sooo miserable, no seniority is worth the wrinkles on your face nor the shortened life span! There's a ton of regionals out there with <1 year upgrades and better QOL that will be happy to hire you on the spot.
