Intrepid Orders 20 Freighters
Intrepid Aviation Group has signed a firm order with Airbus to purchase 20 A330-200 freighters, the largest order for the jet maker's newest freighter model.
Deliveries are scheduled to start in 2010 and run through 2012. The order marks the first time Intrepid, a lessor based in Germantown, Tenn., has purchased new Airbus aircraft.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The A330-200F has a top capacity of 69 metric tons and a range of 4,000 miles
