I live in Temecula.... still somewhat affordable, but great schools. And you should always be able to make it to LAX in less than 3 hours. I fly corporate out of SNA which consistently an 1+10-1+40 drive. If you don't have any kids and don't need a larger home I personally would not live in Temecula. But if you are starting or already have a family you will like it here. Housing costs are going up though!
