Because they don't collect dues on the frst year at the new carrier and then less than if they stayed at the original carrier and collected a bonus!
Why even care at this point. Envoys wants to give retirement buyouts, that's there prerogative, I don't see alpa needing to be involved.
Retirement buyouts is one way of creating some senirity movement while also lowering the ongoing overall operational cost and may work to attract some new people, or at least retain some.
