Is anyone suggesting that we make it easier and less costly for the company to run an undermanned operation?

Yesterday they sent out two 777 Capt. greenies, both to Joburg, (32 hours x 2) . For one of the guys it was his second Greenie in Feb. I'm only at 50% of line holders and I'm senior to both of them, but I'm flying today already (not on a greenie!).

The new FAR 117 (100 block hours in rolling 28 days) has made it so that about the only way an International guy in a category with high time trips can get one is by bidding reserve and flying on your X days, which is what the guy on his second greenie (above) was doing.

But the loss of 16 747's is certainly going to hurt all of us, me, Carl, and everyone, all the way down the list.
