I believe you can use your ATP privallegs under part 121 to act as an instructor. This is a gray area. I would log it "as instructor" while your excercising that privallage under 121. I'm sure some one knows this better than I.Originally Posted by BrasiliaFlyer
Good question, maybe others can chime in as well but as far as I'm concerned, I'm not a flight instructor anymore, but rather a LCA. Yes, I provide instruction, but to guys who are technically qualified (maybe not for 121 ops) and nowadays typed on the equipment. I'm not so sure that my "instruction" is the same as dual given. Now, I do keep track of my time as a required crew member while acting in the capacity of a LCA separately...
