He has 375-400 total. He says he will be flying 90-110 hours a month. At that rate I would think he could build some pretty good time. Maybe by the holidays he could possibly be on his way to envoy. He mentioned that Envoy has issues but maybe hes reading it online like myself. But he would like to live in the DFW area since he has family there in the area. He's also in the process of renting his house so that will be additional income as well. I don't think its a money thing with him at envoy. I hear ya. I don't work for Envoy so I can't speak to the specifics of whats going on over there.
I would question where the 90-110 estimate is coming from. If it's coming from someone trying to get him to sign on the dotted line for whatever this program is I would question it. Find an instructor who's been there several months already and see what they say.
Second, on what basis is he qualifying for a restricted ATP? My understanding is that those are for graduates of qualified university 141 programs.
But again, I think by the time your friend is ready for a 121 job most regionals will already be offering the CTP program, which is what you need to taken the ATP written these days.
