At Delta, is going to a job fair similar to having an internal pilot send an email to HR? Is going to the job fair more important? Should I do both? Please, someone shed some light on this for me.
I'd also love to get an idea of out of those who have been extended the invitation or been hired, how many of those guys and gals went to a job fair.
Let me put it this way. This will be my third job fair this week that I will be attending, has it helped me? I don't really believe so but I'm not willing to risk the idea or potential of it helping me if it really can. I have met a couple of recruiters that do the interviews and have become friends with them so maybe one day when I do get the invite, I might just be lucky enough to interview with one of these people I have already met. For my dream job I'd be willing to go to whatever great lengths I could if it meant getting me the invite. With that being said, it's all about your application. The job fair will get your app pulled and reviewed and that could be that difference you need. Their are no additional points that your app will get from going to a job fair but their are still other perks I would not want to pass up.
