I don't know any Alaskan pilots. A friend of my Father was in the company years and years ago but I've only ever talked to him on the phone. He is, as am I, under the impression that letters of rec should be personal...as in unless you've flown with them or have known them for years then don't send one in.

What should I do for the application (once it opens) about letters of rec? I've read on this forum that people are hired without knowing a soul at AS. Does this happen?
