What should I do for the application (once it opens) about letters of rec? I've read on this forum that people are hired without knowing a soul at AS. Does this happen?
I'm sure some one who has been hired recently can answer your LOR question. I myself am too removed from the hiring process.

My only advice here is to not refer to the airline as "Alaskan". That is a huge pet peeve around here. You don't want to give them a reason to discount your application.

Trivial, I know... but important.
