Our new ACARS formAAt is maddening. I've never had more button pushes in my life just to do simple things. We had a pretty streamlined way of doing things that worked very well. It makes sense for AA to adopt the Airbus procedUreS, LUS has the larger fleet. I don't expect John Hope, who was LUS to adopt AA's procedUreS. So, the AAirbus pilots may find some of the LUS procedUreS frustrating.
The AACARS format is not that complicated it's just a matter of learning the new system.
