As I can see the problem so far is that some regionals are imploding (envoy, xjet, rah. etc), so most of their senior FOs and Jr CAs decide to go to Spirit, Allegiant, Jet Blue and Frontier. Instead of waiting for a legacy call, they just go and make another stop before their preferred carrier call them. I personally know a guy that left enjoy to go to JetBlue, six months later he left for AA.

That, of course, increase the pool of applicant and competitive qualifications.
