My new hire class had one black guy. Mil guy with multiple tours in heavies, school house IP. One woman, military, separated at 16 years, heavy pilot. One Asian guy. Everyone else was a white male. Everyone in there had impressive experience.
When I was at training center, like most people I'd always run over to the new hire classes to see friends and old acquaintances and in general congratulate people. Demographics were not noticeably different than in my class.
If Delta is targeting women and minorities, observation indicates they are doing a **** poor job of it.
Everything demographic I've seen from Delta lists experience, background and hours. Never seen anything detailing race or gender.
Those are my facts, what are yours?
Sorry you haven't gotten a call yet. Pretty sure race and gender don't enter into it, but you can feel however you want.
