80 is an inflated number and it had nothing to do with federal background checks, but with the PRIA stuff as CLT stated above. It really was just a hiccup and has already been rectified. People are using it as an opportunity to try and make us look bad... When it is hardly the earth-stopping event some would have you believe. Nothing has changed, classes are running as normal, guys are flying as normal. I wouldn't worry about it.
