I feel that you would almost have to try to fail, or simply never study. They really do a good job of guiding new guys through the whole process from indoc to oral. Sims are a different animal, but the same rules apply. Study, practice with your partner, and remember your limitations. My class had 1 guy fail his oral. And I'm pretty sure they retrained him and he passed the 2nd time.
