Delta wants to hire pilots that won't say, "I can't help you, I'm here to fly the planes from A to B," when a customer approaches them about anything and everything relating to their flight. They want you to "group hug" all of your customers. If you aren't on board with that, that's great. Just don't complain about Delta's hiring process if you aren't.

Exactly!. I get so tired of hearing thats not my job. How about just do it because it needs to be done and don't expect recognition.
The competition is tough but isn't anything worth having worth working hard for? I know many qualified pilots who are great guys/ gals but it takes time to get all these people through the doors. I personally wish we could do it faster but I'm also thankful that they are selective. I want to keep this place as nice as I found it...or better
