These days, I think the message is likely a bit more pessimistic and grim. I had 50 people in a seminar the day before WAI in Dallas. I asked "who is here and interested primarily in FedEx?" I got zero hands. We have become the back-up plan for many pilots...just another option. We'll fill our classes--I have no doubt. But I hope that our management can work with our union to get a contract, and turn this place back into a place that candidates beg to join. Its very different than it was just a few years ago...
That is just sad. This used to be what many considered the top place to work. Now we're just the backup plan.
