It's getting best to death in multiple threads. College is basically the new version of a high school diploma.
Forgive me, because I can't remember when you left. But was it during one of their big hiring sprees? And where you a CA when you left?
Because if that WAS the case, you'd know EXACTLY what I'm taking about.
I left in 05 so maybe I missed the uglIness of lower standards. That said, hiring in 1998 at coex was probably nothing like 2008, just ten years later.
There is no telling what hiring will be like at DAL in 2025 much less 2020. That said right now the degree is a big deal but people should always apply to any job and let the employer figure out If they meet their criteria.
But in my personal experience I watched a couple of people leave college early to get their seniority number going with the intent to finish college as they work. Never seemed to work out.
