I participated to the WAI in Dallas, and talked briefly with one of the recruiter, he mentioned about the application window opening soon but omitted the specific date.
He asked for a copy of my resumé, quickly reviewed and stated I have in excess of all the qualifications, however here a few questions for the FDX educated audience:
-My Background: exclusively Part 135 freight on demand, and passengers (many thousands on PIC on MTOW above 12.5k); past CP, CKA, DO. No military, all civilian. No military background would make me less desirable, given the current hiring status within the industry, and candidates going to the legacy pax carriers?
-Education: born and raised in Europe and completed studies and obtained diplomas back there, immigrated in the U.S.A. 15 years ago as an adult and never thought about achieving and US college/university degree. Just got deep into working hard and support myself and family. Further research shows no equivalency recognized. Is it a show stopper, would they accept it anyway, how is it considered?
-For Part 121, if hired now i could give it a good 1/4 of a century, of usable professional carreer left. Looking for the last career move...

Thank you in advance for all of your inputs.
I know for a fact that currently the college degree requirement is in place. I also know for a fact that they use a service that you will have to pay for to determine the U.S. equivalency to the education from your country. If you want a definitive answer on your educational equivalency I would find a service and get an answer. You said you immigrated, but did you become a citizen? That is a must have also. FedEx uses ies.aacrao.org, Basic Statement of Comparability. $75.
