Well, when the U.S. Big 3 can get the same political favoritism in the mid-east countries as the ME-3 do (example: giant monetary under the table subsidies), then we can talk about them getting the same "advantages" US carriers do...
From what you post, I get the feeling you would be okay with open skies let timing any carrier fly any where they want in the domestic United States. Be careful what you wish for.......it could affect you too.
