So far everyone from my class is still there (to the best of my knowledge). We've all been off for about 2 weeks just now reporting to sim.

Everyone passes indoc and systems. Systems is mostly taught via computer based training, followed by some classroom instruction on some of the finer points of systems.

Then on to IPT. This is where some weakness could be exposed. This is the first time you will bring it all together (systems knowledge, limitations, company procedures, flows, calls, fms, etc..) You will get 10 of these sessions to show pretty basic knowledge, not perfection. After the 10 sessions you get 3 days of what is called CSI. These are mini workshops focusing on FMS, IPT, and Indoc/systems. Weaknesses are identified here (they already know where most people will be week) and you work all that out in these 3 sessions. Hopefully lol. Some of the greener guys get 1 or 2 more IPT sessions. IPT is cheap compared to the sim.

After completing this, you will go to oral. Then after that, on to sims.

Today, the standard is 9 sim training sessions. Sim0 is just a fun flight where you do simple and fun things such as adjust your seat, visual landings, etc.. Sim 1-8 are your lessons. After that there is a checkride and a loft. If you are not ready at the end of 8, they replace your check ride and loft with sim session 9 and 10. Then the checkride and loft are rescheduled for the next week. Not only that, they give you a "warm up" session before the checkride. At this point if you don't pass, of course the examiner will "retrain" you during the checkride up to two items before failing you. And then if you fail I think as long as your attitude is good and you are making progress they may continue or they may say come back in 6 months don't know. Bottom line everyone from my class is still here as far as I know.
