Some hotels are not just putting them in the bathroom. I've been in a few where there's an extra key card or extra switch on the wall (that may not be obvious.) Sometimes, it's not just the lights -- they also control the heat/ac so your room isn't comfortable when you get back into it after being gone for awhile.

Since the rooms are all laid-out differently, I like to leave the bathroom light on and the door pushed to so that I have a little light to find it in the middle of the night. I can't do that with these damn sensors. At one hotel, I dragged a FLOOR LAMP into the bathroom and left it on all night. LOL ...
