They could have gotten out because they couldn't afford it or they have better paying aviation jobs elsewhere. You can't just start quoting numbers like it's an actual statistical analysis.
I'm not sure if you missed my post (#392) or ignored it because it refuted the points you were trying to make, but I will again quote the GAO report from last February:
While there were over 72,000 airline pilots employed in 2012, FAA data show a total of 137,658 active pilots under the age of 65 who held ATP certificates, as of January 6, 2014
And again, "active pilot" was defined as a pilot holding a valid medical certificate.
