Yeah, I'm not too sure about auto bidding software. Not saying auto bidding software isn't being used, but why?

The trip in question is one that would've sat in open time for quite awhile normally. It's also on the FO side, so there isn't the huge rush on open time trips, especially redeyes, like there is on the CA side. Probably a delay like Sandlapper said, because the FO that is now in that pairing is pretty junior and probably wouldn't be able to bid into a transition conflict.

Looks like it comes down to a little bit of luck, but nothing nefarious.

Also, I had FLICA up and was looking at open time when I received the FLICA alert, so somehow I missed the trip being posted. Again, I wouldn't have picked up the trip myself, but maybe I am realizing FLICA alerts are fairly useless.
