Gear overhaul is 25-30k on our model. You have to do it every 8 years I believe. Props every six years which could run you 15k a side. Generator overhaul every 800 hours. Hose overhaul every 800 hours. There is nothing cheap about a king air. As for what breaks? There are always several things that are broke when we take it in. Granted we fly a lot. We just did our hot sections and there wasn't must wrong with the engines and it was just over 60k. A 414 is not even in the same ballpark of a king air. I think when you start doing phases instead of annuals is when the prices go up exponentially. Lol
800-900 per hour on a 414 does seem high though. We figure our E90 at about $1100 per hour. And that puts a little extra money in the kitty.
