Comparing pilots to doctors is a joke depending on how you slice it. They share similar levels of responsibility, but the barriers to entry for a regional pilot (and scope of training) are far, far less than for an MD. A major pilot, especially a CA, might be a reasonable comparison w/ level of responsibility, time/effort invested, social status, and income.

Usually only newly-minted regional FO's get butt-hurt when you don't enable their self-comparison to the medical profession
