Y'all are reading a lot into this process. Yes, DAL is very interested in attendance records. I was asked about my attendance both in military and prior 121. They just want an honest, credible answer. People get sick. Emergencies happen. If they always happen at the end of November and December, that might raise some eyebrows. If you are blessed with a job that has weekends and holidays off, they probably get that. On the other hand, if you did 3 yrs at UPT and never did weekend XCs, they might just get that also.
As a guy who is in the strange position of having interviewed twice at DAL (both times resulting in CJOs), I can say that at no time did I feel the interview process was unfair or unreasonably intrusive. Tough and stress-inducing by design, and given the relatively minor number of changes made over the past decades, I think they're happy with the process and wouldn't count on significant changes.
