Aside from Lufthansa's solitary 747-8 that I see every day @ LAX, I can't say I've seen another -8 in passenger service.
Who's flying the airplane? Has it been a gigantic flop for Boeing, or have they done well with foreign orders?

Looks like they've only got 51 orders including 29 deliveries for the pax version, and not much more than that for the cargo version. Wow...
