I have been trying to find out the current state of affairs with regard to ATPL training requirements that went into effect last year. All news is old news.

Are new pilots simply forking over the extra $10-15k for the training. There was talk of airlines picking up the tab, pretty laughable I'm sure. Where have people been going for training? A search on FAA turns up only a handful of facilities with programs. ATP FS is still pending on theirs for example. What's the scoop?
