Indeed it's not what it used to be but F9 is starting to get it's legs back... Remember, 35 years ago if you had a choice between eastern and delta and you chose delta, you were an idiot... 35 years ago, southwest was a bunch of cowboys from Texas who flew a few airplanes around the state... Now they're making $215/hr to fly a narrow body around the country... To say that frontier is a crappy job is short sighted and narrow minded... The ULCC model is 1% of domestic flying... Sure people **** and moan about it but there are literally thousands of untapped markets and infinite growth possibilities... If frontier has fewer than 130 airframes in the next 6 or 7 years, I would be shocked
The pay at frontier is pretty horrible... No one at the airline or in the industry will even try to question that... Just because its bad now, doesn't mean it will be bad forever... Remember, 10 years ago frontier had the highest starting first year pay of any domestic airline... There are pay snaps coming and an amendable CBA in 2017... F9 will get paid... We'll essentially be 2 contracts behind spirit and just digging our way out of a concessionary deal
This industry is cyclical... It will go up and down... Right now delta looks like the best deal... It might not be in 5 years... It could very well be in 3 or 4 years that people will be banging down the door to get into frontier... I don't know but the airline community is a small one and to just post that F9 sucks doesn't appear to be a very well thought out way to endear yourself to anyone in the aviation circle... I can tell you this... The only reason frontier is even still around is BC of the pilots and flight attendants... There's a good group of people here and its the reason I decided to join the ranks...
I wish you much good fortune
