Reserve time is long for captain's because not every captain that's upgrading has been here 8 months. The average upgrade time is closer to 2 years. All the one year Captains in CLT will be the whipping sticks for at least a year or two while FOs senior to them upgrade. There's almost no attrition on the captain side in CLT, maybe two guys at most leaving per month and the growth will be done in a month or two.
