Adding RDY to the end of assignment happens nearly every day at SKW. Amazingly enough they've never once called me during RDY. I usually spend the time working on my other job (on my laptop at the SFO Starbucks), perched on the edge of my chair for the 4:00 pm shuttle to the employee parking lot. If anyone is in SFO's Terminal 2 on a given weekend around 3:00, stop by the Starbucks next to the Virgin ticket counter and say hi. I'll be the guy trying to pretend my phone doesn't exist
I've spent more hours sitting ready there and in the employee cafeteria than I care to admit. I've actually had a cop stop me and check my credentials because he saw me in two terminals hanging out. While in uniform on RDY, I had a person approach me and ask for spare change.
