Thanks for the LOL.
10-15k a year difference means nothing to someone in "my" financial situation. Others, sure.
You do know there was a pretty substantial percentage of PSA pilots who said no, right? Im not gonna sit here and defend the ramifications of that vote or whether it was right or wrong but to paint all those pilots with the same broad brush is flat out ignorant. Furthermore, how is saying yes to Mesa's pay/work rules any better than agreeing to the concessionary contract PSA pilots ratified? My understanding is their SAP allows them to achieve very high credits without losing any days off. Does Mesa have a provision similar to that?
In regards to TSA, stability is definitely a consideration but i was bringing up pay and the fact that they have better pay/work rules for a smaller airframe doesn't exactly strengthen your argument. If they can pay more, why can't Mesa?
I don't say these things to put you or any Mesa pilot down, actually i hope the best for you, and all of us. However, with retirements increasing and regionals struggling to fill classes, i really believe we need to strive for better benefits and until we truly unify and say NO to subpar pay and work rules we are condemning ourselves. The bonuses being offered recently (most notably Endeavor's $80,000 over 4 years) is evidence we are becoming a limited commodity and should not settle for less than we are worth.
