Clock starts when your trip starts on your schedule from your base. Many times you do not actually touch your base to start.
Perdiem and Trip Rig are paid by the hour for every hour you are away from base. On R2 (hotel reserve) it pays like a trip. On R1 (home reserve) rig time does not accrue, but you are home.
