Here's a question for all you gurus who seem to be much more well-informed than myself: I'm a line check airman for a regional, and this past year I have been doing a lot more line checks, FAA observations, and other work from the jumpseat. Because of this, I've been blocking and logging far fewer hours than my other regional airline counterparts... Like only averaging 20 hours of block per month.
Does anyone think this would reflect negatively on my application with Delta? On the one hand it seems that conducting LCA duties would be a positive thing, but on the other hand i'm just not logging that many hours (I obviously don't log time from the jumpseat).
Like most everyone else on this forum, I'm just trying to figure out the secret required to get a call, and am willing to change my work patterns if need be to accomplish it.
