Because of this, I've been blocking and logging far fewer hours than my other regional airline counterparts... Like only averaging 20 hours of block per month.
Does anyone think this would reflect negatively on my application with Delta? On the one hand it seems that conducting LCA duties would be a positive thing, but on the other hand i'm just not logging that many hours (I obviously don't log time from the jumpseat).

Like most everyone else on this forum, I'm just trying to figure out the secret required to get a call, and am willing to change my work patterns if need be to accomplish it.
I'm just a line dog, so no particular knowledge, but I don't see why that would be a problem. There is an excellent reason for the amount of flying: you're taking on more responsibilities. I would imagine that the very people that would look at you are either management pilots that have a bunch of non-flying functions, or HR people that hang out with pilots that fly little. They're hiring LCA's, chief pilots, sim instructors, etc. I think they would be mentally high-fiving you for doing those things AND flying 20 hours.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Especially since you can't change it. I'd just see if the application allows some way to highlight the LCA/FAA observation functions.
