Will I have to retest, or go through all the newly required training to be eligible to retest?
A lot of regionals are offering the CTP course to new hires. If you know your guard schedule is concrete that far out, you can let them know and they'll probably put you in CTP course before new hire. The dilemma here is that you'd have to tell them your mil leave before starting work so I don't think USERRA will cover it. The other option is to start training and go on mil leave and do the CTP when you come back.
