This may have even been a triple, as Sax could have said an encouraging word to his seatmate to pull his big boy panties up and assert his need.
Then again, as we all know, all too often it's best not to intervene between women. Good judgement and timing is required and Sax may well have been too tired to accept the risk involved.
The flight was short. 45 minutes. The window of opportunity was small. The thought crossed my mind to just tell him to go the back lavs, but first, I was in uniform as a non-rev. He was also seated in the F window seat, while I was in the A seat across with no one in between us. So that would have required lots of effort to shout across the aisle to just go while explaining not to tell anyone that that "pilot in uniform over there told me to go!" Therefore getting myself in trouble with the FA's.
