If the policy pays til 65 then why does it suck like you say. If it paid til 65 I wouldn't have an issue with it.
Btw, LTD and loss of license (medical certificate) are the same thing in most of the industry. If you've been spending the last two pages trying to illustrate the differences then you are missing the point completely.

The problem with our policy is many. 1. It only pays 60% up to $7000. 2. It reduces your payments if you find a lesser job to make up the difference, essentially locking you into $7000 for life with no inflation clause. 3. While I insist they can not withhold payments in support of some fantasy job that pays 80% they do withhold payments to someone that has a law degree or is a partner in some other business that generates income. That is horrible.
My only end game is to make sure we have the facts straight and hold our ALPA reps responsible to distribute that information.
