It isn't fair to present false information to people that are trying to compare airlines.

If I were in management, I would be embarrassed at how ridiculously long it takes to get a new pilot from indoc to flying the line. 4+ months?!?! Ridiculous! The training department needs to do something to speed up, or just skip a class and get caught up.

There are stories about people going to IOE and not being up to speed with callouts and flows and getting sent back to sims/IPT's. Sure, those pilots should have probably spent more time keeping things fresh, but the training department is just as much at fault.
When I interviewed, the Captain who briefed us on the company told us the same thing, about the breaks in between, citing growing pains and that it was going to be tough to keep everything fresh and to expect to have to do a lot of refreshing on our own, albeit while getting paid - so I don't think you're saying anything different.

I just think you have a little bit too much inside info on specifics that the average PSA pilot wouldn't really have or even bother bringing up out of the blue and it's just the way you put things out there that makes me feel like you are in the recruitment dept - I never said management.

But I guess we'll never know Don't get me wrong though, I think you're very informative and politically correct with all the helpful info you provide to these forums about PSA.
