The status quo strike is legal, justified, well within our rights, and completely separate from an NMB release. I understand that. But the NMB is not a computer program. It's made up of humans, and humans form opinions even if they shouldn't. Humans also take things personally and hold grudges when they shouldn't.
I don't know what the mediators will think of a status quo strike... Like I already said, maybe they won't care, they shouldn't. Maybe they'll respect us for it and be more likely to release us. But if there's even a 1 in a million chance that a status quo strike could anger them and possibly delay a release by even a week, I will gladly take a few more weeks of PBS to be able walk the line for a contract ASAP!
