I never said you need to March down to HQ "Ferguson" style. I know change doesn't come automatically. But instead of jumping all over people for grieving what you yourself agree is terrible, why don't you instead welcome your new co-workers and commiserate with them.
Read my post on the last page. I genuinely said, every TSA employee that was here before the growth has welcomed new hires, CQFO or FO, with open arms. They are just as much a part of this company as we are. But the morale here before was pretty darn good, with very little complaining. All of a sudden, 100 guys come thru the doors in the training center and you've shockingly taken a pay cut from your previous 4th year FO pay and everyone is livid. In the grand scheme of things, is one $50 hotel room that big of an expense for you? Probably not. The concept of having to pay for a hotel while you're still "in training" is the biggest problem everyone has with the whole thing. All I was trying to get at was, it could be CPZ of a year or so ago and you could be paying for 2-3 straight months of hotels. Again, it's not ideal, but it's a heck of a lot better than it could be. (and it's 'average' across the industry)
I'm all for welcoming everyone here and doing everything possible to improve some things with the new contract coming up. However, some of the guys on here that have a great CQFO opportunity in front of them can't find a single good thing to say about TSA. "We have to put in a pay request every now and then, we MIGHT have to pay for a hotel before IOE, I don't get paid a million dollars in training"
I've seen a VERY select few guys on here that have expressed the slightest bit of a positive attitude towards being a CQFO here. So I'm not going to sit here and join in on the pity party with everyone complaining about the company that signs my paycheck. I'll do my part to improve things in contract negotiations, not on a forum. The only reason I even come on here is to provide help to guys that are looking for info on TSA or people that have legit questions, not complaints.
